The Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an has introduced a new initiative called ‘From the Community to the Community’ to encourage generosity and strengthen community participation in Abu Dhabi. This initiative follows the announcement by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, declaring 2025 as the Year of Community. It aims to recognize individuals and organizations that have contributed to social projects, helping improve lives across the city.

As part of this initiative, Ma’an will place special plaques on different social projects in Abu Dhabi. These plaques serve as a tribute to the collective efforts of the community, highlighting the generosity and support that drive these projects. By marking these key projects, Ma’an hopes to bring together individuals, businesses, and organizations to work toward solving social challenges and making a meaningful impact. The initiative also acknowledges the contributions of Ma’an’s partners, including the UAE Deaf Association, ADEK Al Ehsan, FDF Barakat Al Dar Social Clubs, and the Food ATM project.
His Excellency Abdullah Al Ameri, Director General of Ma’an, expressed that this initiative reflects the organization’s commitment to fostering a culture of shared responsibility. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government, private sector, and non-profit organizations in launching impactful projects that address pressing social needs. He also noted that by recognizing these contributions, the initiative will inspire future generations to actively participate in community-building efforts.
The ‘From the Community to the Community’ initiative focuses on key areas of social impact, including providing school tuition assistance and improving school infrastructure, building dialysis treatment centers for patients in need, developing facilities for halfway houses to support individuals in transition, and creating public parks for the community.
Through this initiative, Ma’an aims to celebrate the spirit of generosity and showcase the power of collective contributions in making a difference. By encouraging more people to engage in social projects, the authority hopes to create a more connected and supportive community in Abu Dhabi.
