The Health Department in Abu Dhabi has started a new plan to help people live longer and stay healthy. They shared this plan at the Abu Dhabi Global Health Week 2025. This plan is called the Declaration on Longevity and Precision Medicine. It is the first plan like this in the world. Many health groups, schools, and big companies helped make this plan. Some of the names include M42, Masdar City, PureHealth, NYU Abu Dhabi, the University of Pennsylvania, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Burjeel, and more.

The head of the Health Department, Mr. Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, said that when people are healthy, the whole country becomes better. He said this plan brings smart people from around the world together to make health better for everyone. He said health is for all people, and we must work as one team.
The plan wants to give care that matches each person’s body and health. It also wants to help doctors and scientists learn how to make people live longer without sickness. Today, many people spend their last 10 years of life feeling unwell. This plan wants to fix that by using early and right care for each person.
The World Health Group says that by the year 2050, the number of old people (above 60 years) will become 2.1 billion. Also, the health market that gives this special care is growing fast. In 2023, it was worth 81 billion dollars, and by 2030, it may be worth 175 billion dollars.
The UAE is already doing well in this area. It has strong health rules, gives money to this kind of care, and has opened the world’s first Healthy Longevity Centre. The value of the UAE’s long-life health market may go up from 19 billion dollars in 2020 to 32 billion by 2026.
This new health plan has six main goals: grow more learning and research, work together with other experts, train more health workers, make helpful rules, follow fair and kind ways, and teach people why this work is good.
One of the helpers in this project, PwC Middle East, said this is a very important step for the world. A health leader from PwC, Lina Shadid, said this plan is a guide for the future. It helps bring new ideas into normal hospitals and clinics so that people get better care. She also said Abu Dhabi is leading the world in health by bringing in smart people, sharing ideas, and giving care that matches each person.
Abu Dhabi Global Health Week 2025 is a big event by the Health Department. This year’s theme is “Towards Longevity: Redefining Health and Well-being.” The event focuses on helping people live better, longer, and with full care for body and mind.
