Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, attended the last round of the 2024 Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship. The final event happened at Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi and ended the first season of this championship, which had five rounds in different parts of the UAE.

Sheikh Khaled gave trophies to the winners of both the Gi and No-Gi categories. Al Ain Sports Club won the Gi trophy, and Sharjah Mixed Martial Arts Club won the No-Gi trophy.
Sheikh Khaled also spoke with the event sponsors. He thanked them for their help in growing sports and supporting players. He praised their work in encouraging young athletes and organizing big events in Abu Dhabi and across the UAE.
Sheikh Khaled said this championship is very important to help young Emirati jiu-jitsu players become better. He said it gives them the practice they need to be champions and helps the UAE’s national team succeed. He congratulated the winners and said their strong efforts and performances were amazing. He added that contests like this make UAE sports stronger and prove that Abu Dhabi is a great place for building champions.
Sheikh Khaled also promised that UAE leaders will keep helping jiu-jitsu and young Emirati players. He said the country will build top sports centers, bring in the best trainers, and host big tournaments. These efforts will help athletes do their best and succeed.
His Excellency Abdulmunem Alsayed Mohammed Alhashmi, the head of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, thanked UAE leaders for their strong support. He said, “We are deeply thankful to His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his kind and steady support for sports. His vision shows that the UAE’s leaders want jiu-jitsu to help people stay healthy, learn good values, and bring honor to the UAE.”
He added, “This championship is not only about winning trophies. It is about making a community that loves sports and knows how sports build a better and healthier future. This is good for the UAE in many ways.”
The first Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship drew many fans and had exciting matches for all age groups. The five rounds were held in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Fujairah. This contest showed that jiu-jitsu is growing fast in the UAE and becoming a key part of the country’s sports scene.
