Kanye West’s Website Crashes Following Controversial Nazi T-Shirt Sales

Kanye West's Yeezy website went offline on Tuesday after it started selling white T-shirts with a swastika on them. The website showed a message saying, “Something went wrong” and “This store is unavailable.”

Kanye West, who now calls himself Ye, had recently appeared in a simple commercial during the Super Bowl in Southern California. The ad showed him sitting in a dentist's chair, showing off diamond-encrusted teeth, and saying he spent all the money for the commercial on the new teeth. He told people to visit his Yeezy website.

After the ad aired, the website first showed a variety of Kanye’s clothes. But soon, it changed and only showed one item—a white T-shirt with a big black swastika on it, priced at $20.

The commercial went through regular checks, including checking the website, and nothing was flagged. But by Tuesday, the website, which was hosted by Shopify, was taken down.

Shopify said, “All sellers must follow the rules of our platform. This seller did not follow proper business practices and broke our rules, so we removed them from Shopify.”

This happened just a few days after Kanye's account on X (formerly Twitter) was deactivated. He had made many hurtful comments, and it wasn’t clear if he deleted the account himself or if X did it. His last post on X said, “I’m logging out of Twitter. I appreciate Elon for letting me speak. It has helped me to express myself.”

This is not the first time Kanye has caused trouble. He has been banned from social media before for saying things that went against the rules. His recent actions, like his comments and the T-shirt sale, have upset many people.
