Israeli Strikes on Gaza Tents Kill 25, Mostly Women and Kids

At least 25 people died after air strikes hit tent areas where families were staying in Gaza, the rescue team said on Thursday.

The rescue team’s speaker, Mahmud Bassal, said that the attack happened at night in the Al-Mawasi area, near the city of Khan Yunis in the south of Gaza. Two rockets hit some tents where many families were living.

"At least 16 people died, and most of them were women and children. Around 23 others got hurt,” Bassal said.

These people were staying in tents because they had to leave their homes due to the war.

Bassal also said that two more air strikes happened in other tent areas. These killed eight more people and hurt others too.

In the town of Beit Lahia in north Gaza, seven people died when a tent was hit. In another attack near Al-Mawasi, a father and his child were killed while staying in their tent.

Now, many families in Gaza are living in tents because their homes are destroyed. They have very little food, clean water, or medicine. People are scared and sad. The rescue teams are still working to help the injured and find more people in the damaged areas.
