The Palestinian Civil Defence said that its workers found 10 bodies early on Wednesday after the attack. Many other people were hurt, and the Civil Defence shared this information on Telegram, a messaging app.

A reporter for Al Jazeera named Anas al-Sharif shared on social media that children were burned while they were sleeping in the tents at the shelter. He said there were no safe places left and that Gaza City and its northern areas had been hit by strong shelling and bomb attacks for many hours.

Videos posted on social media showed tents burning, and the fire melting the canvas covering the tents. Some chairs and a bed frame were also burned in the fire.

The Civil Defence also asked the Red Cross for help because people were trapped under the rubble of houses in Gaza City's Tuffah neighborhood. They said that workers could not get to the area because it was too dangerous, and the Israeli forces had made it a place where no one could go.

Al Jazeera Arabic also reported that a child was killed in another attack on Wednesday in the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. Two people died in this attack, and many were hurt.

One more person was killed and several others were injured in another Israeli attack on tent shelters in the al-Mawasi “safe zone,” which is south of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

There were also many airstrikes and artillery fire across Gaza in the early morning hours, making the situation even worse for people living in the area.
