Dubai's 'Rain Street' Extended by 1 km as New Resort Unveils 'Snow Plaza

The Marbella Resort, set to open in 2026 on Dubai's World Islands, will be an exclusive five-star hotel surrounded by a 1km stretch of Dubai Street where it rains year-round. Inspired by the Spanish town of Marbella, this Dh1 billion project by the Kleindienst Group will be accessible only by private yacht, offering a unique blend of luxury and environmental conservation.

The resort will boast 500,000 square meters of nine distinct coral reefs, creating a habitat for over thirty species of fish. Visitors can immerse themselves in a snow plaza, designed to provide a year-round snowfall experience. It will be among the first resorts globally to offer private access to coral reefs, aligning with The Heart of Europe's coral reef master plan. Guests can enjoy snorkeling and diving among diverse marine life like angelfish, anemonefish, lionfish, and green turtles.

Josef Kleindienst, Chairman of Kleindienst Group, emphasized the resort's authentic Spanish cultural experience fused with Dubai's allure. Sustainability is a core focus, with the resort employing solar power and policies aimed at zero discharge of microplastics.

Adjacent to the Marbella Resort is the Côte d’Azur, a French-themed resort featuring sections representing Monaco, Nice, Cannes, and St. Tropez. Honeymoon Island nearby offers villa stays atop floating seahorses, enhancing the resort's exclusive offerings.

Accommodation options at Marbella Resort include suites, chalets, and cabanas overlooking the rain street, snow plaza, or sea. The resort will feature open-air restaurants, water sports, and beachside parties, complemented by six dining venues serving authentic European cuisine.

Designed to evoke Andalusian charm, the 150-room luxury hotel will feature gardens, submerged courtyards, and citrus and olive groves, promising a serene retreat amidst Dubai's vibrant landscape.
