Dubai International Airport (DXB) is expecting many travelers during the winter holiday season. Between December 13 and 31, more than 5.2 million people are expected to pass through the airport. The busiest days will be from December 20 to 22, with about 880,000 travelers arriving and leaving the airport. To make sure everything runs smoothly, Dubai Customs is getting ready by adding more inspectors and new tools to help speed up the process.
Dubai Customs has added 77 new inspection devices at the airport. There are 58 devices for checking large luggage and 19 for hand luggage. These devices will help check bags quickly and safely, so travelers do not have to wait in long lines. This will make the process faster while still keeping everything secure.
Dubai Customs has also introduced a new app called iDeclare. The app allows travelers to declare things like gifts, money, or personal belongings before they even arrive at the airport. By using this app, passengers can fill out their declarations early. This helps to speed up the process when they get to the customs area. Thanks to the app, travelers can finish their customs checks in less than four minutes at the red channel.

Khaled Ahmed Khoury, the Acting Director of Passenger Operations at Dubai Customs, said that everyone is working together to make sure everything goes smoothly during this busy time. He added that the team stays in contact all day to solve any problems that may come up. On top of that, building managers and team leaders visit the airport regularly to make sure operations are running well.
Dubai Customs also gives important information to travelers on its website, dubaicustoms.gov.ae. On the website, travelers can find out what they are allowed to bring into the country, which items are banned, and other rules about baggage and taxes. This helps people understand the rules and makes their travel experience easier.
With all of these extra efforts, Dubai Customs is making sure that everyone traveling through Dubai International Airport this holiday season will have a safe, quick, and easy journey.
