The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has unveiled a comprehensive work flow package aimed at simplifying administrative processes involving five key federal and local authorities. This package encompasses the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, Dubai Health, and the Department of Economy and Tourism. Accessible through the Invest in Dubai platform (investinDubai.net), the new package promises to streamline transactions, significantly reducing processing time from a cumbersome 30 days down to just five days.

This initiative reflects the UAE's ongoing commitment to enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in governmental operations. By consolidating procedures and eliminating unnecessary bureaucracy, the government aims to facilitate smoother interactions for businesses and individuals alike. Notably, the streamlined process also cuts down the required documentation from 16 documents to just five, and minimizes the need for physical visits to service centers, reducing them from seven visits to only two.

The impact of this streamlined workflow extends to a wide spectrum of stakeholders, benefiting over 275,000 companies operating in Dubai. As the scope of this initiative expands, it is expected to further optimize administrative procedures across various sectors, fostering a more conducive environment for business growth and development. This move underscores Dubai's ongoing commitment to fostering a business-friendly ecosystem and enhancing its competitiveness on the global stage.
