US President Donald Trump has recently bought a red Tesla Model S for about $80,000 (around Rs 70 lakh). The 78-year-old President said he bought the car to support Tesla and its CEO, Elon Musk. Trump made the purchase in front of the press, choosing the red car from a lineup of four cars outside the White House.

Trump explained, “When I saw what was happening, I said that I wanted to buy a Tesla and we just went to the front. He had four beautiful cars there, and I bought one in front of the press. It was a very public purchase, and they’re beautiful and do a great job.” His support comes at a time when Tesla has faced lower sales, falling stock prices, and criticism of Musk’s influence on the government.
What is the Tesla Model S?
The Tesla Model S was the first mass-market electric car made by the company. It was launched in 2012 and has been updated many times since then.
The Model S is known for its high technology, smooth performance, and safety features. It has a big touchscreen that controls the car’s systems. The car also has autopilot, meaning it can drive by itself, change lanes, and park.
The Model S can be customized with an optional yoke steering wheel, similar to the ones in race cars.
The car’s 17-inch touchscreen has a sharp, clear display that makes it easy to use for gaming, watching movies, and more. It also has a display for passengers in the back, so they can watch movies and play games.
For security, the Model S has a feature called Sentry Mode. This uses cameras and sensors around the car to keep an eye on what is happening when the owner is not around. If someone tries to damage the car, it will send an alert to the owner.
The car also has an air filter that removes harmful substances from the air inside, like smoke, germs, and even some viruses.
The back seat of the Model S has enough space for three adults. It has extra legroom and headroom, and there is a place to charge phones without wires.
The Model S has two driving modes: Sport and Chill. The Plaid model, which is a high-performance version, can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just two seconds. The car also has a Drag Strip Mode for even faster acceleration.
It has a 22-speaker, 960-watt audio system that gives great sound quality. The car also has different steering modes, including Standard, Comfort, and Sport.
Will the Tesla Model S be sold in India?
The Tesla Model S is not yet available in India, but it is expected to be sold in India by January 2026. The price will likely be between Rs 70 lakh and Rs 1 crore. This shows that Tesla is planning to expand in India as more people are interested in electric vehicles.
