Dhanush’s Idly Kadai Gets New Release Date – Oct 1

Dhanush, who is both the actor and director of his upcoming film Idly Kadai, has announced a new release date for the movie. On April 4, he shared a new poster on his social media, revealing that Idly Kadai will now be released in theatres on October 1. The colorful poster shows Dhanush dressed in a traditional shirt and dhoti, happily dancing in the middle of a festive crowd. In his post, he wrote, “Idli Kadai #oct1 (sic).”

The film was originally planned to be released on April 10, but the release was postponed to avoid competition with Ajith Kumar’s movie Good Bad Ugly, which was also scheduled for the same date. Now, Idly Kadai will have a clear release, without the risk of facing another big film at the box office.

Idly Kadai is Dhanush’s fourth movie as a director, following his previous directorial works Pa Paandi, Raayan, and Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam. Besides directing, Dhanush also plays an important role in the movie.

Set in a rural village, Idly Kadai is expected to be an emotional and moving drama. The movie also brings back the popular pairing of Dhanush and Nithya Menen, who were last seen together in the movie Thiruchitrambalam. Their previous work earned Nithya Menen a National Award for her performance.

The film also features actors like Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Prakash Raj, and Rajkiran in important roles. It is being produced by Wunderbar Films and Dawn Pictures, while the distribution is being handled by Red Giant Movies.

On the technical side, Idly Kadai has a talented team working behind the scenes. The cinematographer is Kiran Koushik, the music composer is GV Prakash Kumar, and the editor is Prasanna GK.
