By giving out licenses, the DCD helps non-profits work within a clear set of rules, ensuring that they follow their goals and the law. This system helps these organizations do their work properly and raises awareness about the good they do for society.

The eight new groups that received licenses are: Green Hands Association, UAE Society for Tolerance and Happiness, Union for Human Rights Association, Emirates Thalassemia Association, Business and Economists Association, Emirates Association for Judicial Notarization, Emirates Falconers Club, and Emirates Oncology and Radiotherapy Association (EORA).

Mubarak  Ameri, the head of the Social Licensing and Control Sector at DCD, said that giving licenses to non-profits helps them do their work in the right way and follow the rules. He added, “These organizations are key partners in solving social problems and helping people live better lives.”

He also mentioned that the Department is committed to supporting non-profits to grow and improve, making sure they follow the law and work for the benefit of everyone. With 99 non-profit organizations now licensed, he is sure the social sector will continue to grow.

Al Ameri also talked about the importance of teamwork between the government, private companies, and non-profit groups. He said that working together will help create new ideas to solve social issues and make Abu Dhabi a leader in social development worldwide.

The eight new non-profits cover many different areas, showing how they help with various social and humanitarian causes. Their work helps create a more connected and supportive community in Abu Dhabi.
