DCD Launches 3rd Capacity Building Program for Social Care Pros

The Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi (DCD) has started the third part of the Capacity Building Program for Licensing Social Care Professionals. This program is a special course to help social care workers improve their skills and knowledge. It is part of DCD’s work to make the social sector better and to keep high standards for professionals. The program makes sure that workers follow the rules for getting a license and also helps them learn important skills to do their jobs well.

About 130 professionals who did not have the right education to get a license before have been chosen to join this program. This shows that DCD cares about improving social care services and helping workers grow in their jobs. The program does not only help them get a license but also gives them important training so they can provide the best care to people in need.

Mubarak Al Ameri, who is the Executive Director of the Social Licensing and Control Sector at DCD, said that licensing is very important because it makes sure that social workers follow high professional and moral values. He explained that the program helps create a strong and supportive work environment for social care professionals. He also said that when social workers learn new skills, it helps improve the quality and long-term success of the services they give. By making sure that workers have the right skills and licenses, DCD is making sure that social care services are safe, trustworthy, and follow international rules.

The program has already helped 153 professionals finish their training in the first and second parts. These workers now have special skills in different areas like non-clinical psychology, social work, and family and marriage counseling. This has helped Abu Dhabi’s social care sector become stronger and more effective. The program is an important step in making sure that social care professionals have the right knowledge and training to help families and individuals in the best way.

DCD continues to work hard to make sure that all social care workers meet the right skill levels before they get a license.
