The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), along with the Rajasthan Police, has successfully brought Aaditya Jain, a member of the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi-led gang, back to India from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This took place on Monday, and the operation was carefully planned with the help of various law enforcement agencies. Jain, who is also known as Tony, was brought to Jaipur International Airport by the Rajasthan Police's Escort Team. The operation was made possible thanks to teamwork between the CBI, the International Police Cooperation Unit (IPCU), NCB-Abu Dhabi, and the Rajasthan Police.
During a press conference, Additional Director General (ADG) Dinesh M.N. revealed that Jain is from Kuchaman, Rajasthan. He has been a key member of the gang involved in extortion, illegal arms possession, kidnapping, and even providing contraband to prisoners. Jain's role in the gang was to gather personal information about businesspeople who were targeted for extortion by the Lawrence Bishnoi and Rohit Godara gangs. He would help gang members contact the victims through apps like WhatsApp and Signal, using "dabba calling" (a way to hide their identity) to make extortion calls.

When the victims refused to pay the ransom, the gang took violent actions, including shootings and murders. They also shared videos of their crimes on social media to create fear and make their gang even more infamous.
The CBI issued a Red Notice for Jain on February 18, 2025, after the Rajasthan Police made the request. This notice helped them work with police forces around the world and in India to make sure Jain was brought back to face charges. The CBI worked through the National Central Bureau for INTERPOL in India and coordinated with local and international law enforcement agencies to secure Jain's return.
Jain's life of crime reportedly started when he was just 17 years old. He got involved in a legal case after falling in love with a girl. This case led to his first time in jail. After that, his family, including his father, who runs a grocery store in their village, distanced themselves from him. Over time, Jain became deeply involved with the Bishnoi gang, taking part in their extortion and violent activities.
