Awfis, a company that provides flexible workspaces, announced its entry into Guwahati, India. The company has leased 1.3 lakh seats across 6.6 million square feet of office space in 200 centres throughout India. By September 2024, Awfis had grown by 43% in Tier II cities, increasing its locations from 14 centres to 20.
The company explained that the growth in smaller cities shows a rising demand for flexible workspace solutions. This reflects Awfis's focus on helping businesses in these areas with the right workspaces.

Amit Ramani, the Managing Director and Chairman of Awfis Space Solutions shared that the company's success is due to its strong partnerships with well-known developers. These partnerships help Awfis provide high-quality office spaces in prime business areas.
Ramani also mentioned that Awfis keeps innovating and putting clients first, which helps them stay ahead in the changing real estate market. The company constantly adapts to new trends and aims to provide excellent solutions for its clients. This forward-thinking approach has made Awfis a leader in its industry.
In November 2024, Awfis announced that it had secured a major project in Mumbai. The company was given the task of designing, building, and running a 1.65 lakh-square-foot office space for the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC).
Earlier in September, Awfis leased over 30,000 square feet of office space in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in Gandhinagar. Looking ahead, the company plans to continue expanding its presence in India by adding 40,000 more seats in FY25, aiming to reach a total of 135,000 seats by the end of the fiscal year.
Awfis has also been performing well financially. For the second quarter of the 2024-25 financial year, the company reported a net profit after tax of ₹38.67 crore. In the same period last year, the company had posted a loss of ₹4.34 crore. The company's total income for this quarter was ₹301.95 crore, a 40.31% increase from ₹215.20 crore in the same quarter last year.
This shows how Awfis is growing, adapting to market changes, and creating opportunities in the flexible workspace market.
