ADX Daily Trading Volumes Surge 27.5% Since Start of 2025

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has started 2025 on a strong note, reporting a 27.5% increase in daily trading volumes compared to the same time last year. This positive growth shows that more investors are actively participating in the market, according to Abdulla Salem Al Nuaimi, CEO of ADX.

Al Nuaimi also pointed out that the number of investors has grown by over 30% since the beginning of the year. This increase reflects a rising level of trust and interest in ADX, as more people look for opportunities in the stock market.

Al Nuaimi shared that ADX holds the title of having the most active Exchange-Traded Funds (ETF) market in the region. Additionally, its derivatives market saw a massive 150% jump in activity last year, making it one of the busiest in the region.

So far in 2025, ADX has already welcomed two new listings. One of them is the Chimera iBoxx US Treasury Bill ETF, which was officially listed on February 20th. Another company, a public joint-stock firm, is expected to be listed next month. Al Nuaimi is optimistic that more companies will join the exchange in the first half of the year.

To further improve the market’s structure and make trading smoother, ADX recently introduced the New ADX Group. This includes two new companies—Abu Dhabi Clear (AD Clear) and Abu Dhabi Depository (AD CSD)—which aim to enhance clearing and settlement services.

With these developments, ADX continues to expand, attracting more investors and strengthening its position as a leading financial market in the region.
