Abu Dhabi had a big health meeting called the Healthy Longevity Innovation Forum. It was the first time this meeting was held. It was set up by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) and the Institute for Healthier Living Abu Dhabi (IHLAD). The main goal was to talk about how people can live longer and stay healthy as they get older.

Many smart people from different parts of the world came to the event. These included health leaders, government workers, and top doctors. They shared ideas on new ways to help people live better, longer lives not only in the UAE but also in other places.

One special part of the event was a private meeting with a few top doctors and scientists. This meeting was led by Prof. Dr. Shahrukh Hashmi. Some very well-known names joined him, like Dr. Eric Verdin, Professor Andrea Maier, and Professor Evelyne Bischof. They talked about how science and smart tools can help find sickness early and give better treatment.

Dr. Nicole Sirotin, the head of IHLAD, said that more research is needed to understand how people can stay strong and well while getting older. She said that working together with the health department will help build a better future for everyone.

Dr. Fayeza Alyafei, a leader at the Department of Health, said that helping people live longer is a big part of their plan. She explained that they want to stop sickness before it starts and teach people how to take care of their health. She said the event was a good chance for experts to share knowledge and work together.

Dr. Rashed Alsuwaidi, the head of Abu Dhabi’s Public Health Centre, shared how the city is using new tools like mobile apps and health tests to help people. He said these tools give people advice that fits their body and health, and help them stay well for a long time.

In the open sessions, people talked about how technology and new ways of checking the body can help people know their health age, not just their real age. They also said it is better to stop sickness early, not wait until people get sick.

One important message from the event was this: Don’t just treat sickness — help people stay strong before sickness comes. This fits with Abu Dhabi’s Healthy Longevity Vision 2030 plan, which wants to give more good to the world than it takes.

This first Healthy Longevity Forum is just the beginning. It shows that Abu Dhabi wants to be one of the best places in the world for helping people live longer, healthier, and happier lives.
