Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is the Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, welcomed the Governor-General of Australia, Sam Mostyn, to Wahat Al Karama in Abu Dhabi. This visit was part of her official trip to the UAE.
Sheikh Theyab and Sam Mostyn walked together as a guard of honor stood to greet her. Afterward, the Governor-General laid flowers at the memorial in front of the martyrs' monument, which honors the UAE's brave soldiers who gave their lives for the country.

Ms. Mostyn was shown around Wahat Al Karama, a special place that remembers the heroism and sacrifices of UAE nationals who fought to protect the country. It symbolizes their courage and dedication to defending the UAE’s achievements.
Sheikh Theyab also spoke about how the UAE and Australia’s relationship has grown stronger over time. He shared how the two countries' leaders work together to help both nations grow and succeed, which benefits their people.
Sheikh Theyab explained that Wahat Al Karama represents the UAE's deep gratitude for the heroes who sacrificed their lives. It stands as a symbol of bravery, courage, and selflessness, which Emirati generations proudly follow.
At the end of the visit, the Governor-General wrote a message in the guestbook at Wahat Al Karama. In her message, she thanked and honored the martyrs of the UAE for their sacrifices and their important role in protecting the country.
