Dimon said, "Your children will live to be 100 and will not get cancer because of new technology. They will probably work just three and a half days a week." He believes that AI can do many tasks people do now, which could make it possible for people to work less. Dimon thinks that AI could do 60-70% of the work we do today, making shorter workweeks a reality.

JPMorgan Chase is already using AI in areas like checking for mistakes, trading, research, and managing risks. Dimon sees AI as something that will keep getting better and will help people work and live better.

Even though Dimon is excited about AI, he knows that many people are worried it might take away jobs. A report says AI could affect 300 million jobs worldwide, and many workers in the U.S. fear losing their jobs to machines. Dimon understands these worries but says that people have always found new jobs when technology changes. He said, "Technology has always replaced jobs. The good things AI can bring, like living longer and healthier, are much bigger than the problems it might cause."

Dimon also warned that AI can be dangerous if it is not used carefully. While technology has helped people a lot, it can also cause problems, like airplane accidents or bad medicine. He also said that AI could be used in harmful ways, like cyber-attacks.

At JPMorgan, Dimon says they are helping employees whose jobs could be taken over by AI. He gave an example of when JPMorgan bought First Republic Bank in 2023. Around 90% of the employees kept their jobs, and the rest were moved to other positions in the company.

Dimon is hopeful about AI but believes it must be used carefully to make sure it helps everyone.
