WhatsApp is working on new tools that help people feel safe and enjoy calling more. These tools are still being tested but might come for everyone soon. One new tool is for voice calls. When someone calls, you will see a “mute” button in the top bar. If you press it, you can answer the call, but your voice will be off. This is good if your place is loud or if you don’t want to talk right away.

For video calls, there will be a new button to turn off your camera before picking up the call. This helps people feel more safe, especially when the call is from someone they don’t know. You can first see who is calling and then turn your camera on if you want.

WhatsApp is also trying a new way to show emojis while talking in video calls. So you can show a smile, heart, or thumbs up without stopping the talk. It makes the call more fun and easy.

Another new thing is for WhatsApp Status. Now you can add music to your photo or video status. This is coming for people using Android and iPhones. To do this, you go to your WhatsApp status, choose a picture or video, then click the new music sign at the top. You can look for a song you like and choose a part of it. You can use 15 seconds of music for a photo, and 60 seconds for a video. Then you press send to share it. WhatsApp says there are many songs to choose from in their music box.

These new things will help users feel more safe, have more fun, and use WhatsApp in better ways.
