Sharjah Ruler Forms BOT for University Hospital in Sharjah

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued Administrative Resolution No. 15 of 2024, which establishes the Board of Trustees for the University Hospital in Sharjah. This resolution formalizes the formation and structure of the Board, setting out its leadership and membership.

According to the resolution, the Board of Trustees will be chaired by Dr. Abdulaziz Saeed bin Butti Al Muhairi, the Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority. The Vice President of the Board will be Amal Ahmed Al Qatari Al Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Health Authority. The Board's membership includes:

  1. Dr. Khalifa Mohammed Al Saman Al Nuaimi, the Executive Director of University Hospital Sharjah.
  2. Dr. Qutaiba Hamid, Vice Chancellor of the University of Sharjah for Medical Colleges and Health Sciences Affairs, and Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Sharjah.
  3. Dr. Hakam Yassin, the Medical Director of University Hospital Sharjah.
  4. Omar Sayed Mohammed, Financial Advisor at the Central Finance Department of the Government of Sharjah.
  5. Hashem Al Faki Abdullah Ahmed, Legal Advisor to University Hospital Sharjah, serving as the Rapporteur.

The resolution stipulates that the members of the Board will serve a three-year term from the date of formation, with the possibility of extension. The Board will remain operational beyond the initial term until a new Board is established, and members whose terms have expired may be reappointed.

The resolution is effective immediately upon issuance. It mandates that the relevant authorities are responsible for its implementation, and it will be officially published in the Official Gazette.
