H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, attended the ‘Melodies of the Far East’ concert, a remarkable event held in Ras Al Khaimah to commemorate 40 years of diplomatic relations between the UAE and the People's Republic of China. The event was graced by Zhang Yiming, the Chinese Ambassador to the UAE, and George Yeo, the former Foreign Minister of Singapore.

During his speech, Sheikh Saud emphasized that the relationship between the UAE and China serves as an exemplary model for international diplomacy and cooperation. He reflected on the extraordinary growth of this bilateral partnership over the past four decades, which has seen significant strides in various sectors, contributing to mutual growth and prosperity. The strategic alliance between the two nations has proven to be a cornerstone for continued collaboration, creating opportunities for future development and reinforcing shared goals.
The Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah noted that the cultural cooperation between the UAE and China is particularly noteworthy. The ‘Melodies of the Far East’ concert, organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the UAE, took place at the Ras Al Khaimah Creative Hub, in collaboration with the Chinese Cultural Centre in the UAE. The event was a celebration of the rich cultural heritage of both nations. The concert featured a stunning performance by the renowned Chinese Eastern Arts Troupe, which presented a fusion of traditional Chinese music and dance, along with performances inspired by various global cultures. This was a fitting tribute to the enduring cultural exchange between the UAE and China.
