A replica of the Ram Mandir will be showcased for the first time during the India Day parade in New York on August 18, drawing thousands of Indian Americans from the city and its surrounding areas. Amitabh Mittal, the general secretary of Vishva Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA), revealed that the temple replica measures 18 feet in length, nine feet in width, and eight feet in height.
The annual India Day Parade in New York is the largest celebration of India's Independence Day outside of India, typically attracting over 150,000 spectators. Organized by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), the parade features numerous floats representing various Indian American communities, highlighting the rich diversity of Indian culture as it winds through Midtown Manhattan, from East 38th Street to East 27th Street.
Recently, the VHPA-A conducted a Ram Mandir Rath Yatra that traveled to 851 temples across 48 states over a span of 60 days, further promoting awareness and reverence for the Ram Mandir among Indian Americans.
