Passengers experienced a harrowing ordeal when the nose of a Delta Airlines Airbus jet burst into flames, triggering a frantic evacuation at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Videos circulating online captured the alarming scene as flames engulfed the aircraft's nose moments after landing, prompting passengers to swiftly exit via the wings.
The incident unfolded last week, sparking a large-scale evacuation of passengers from the US-bound flight. Witnesses described seeing black smoke billowing from the aircraft's nose as flames erupted, creating a tense atmosphere on the tarmac.
Following the crew's prompt initiation of evacuation procedures, passengers quickly opened emergency exits and descended the aircraft's wings to safety. Miraculously, no casualties were reported despite the intensity of the situation.

Airport officials attributed the fire to a malfunction in the Delta jet's connection to the terminal's electrical network. Sparks from the faulty connection ignited a fire near the nose of the aircraft, triggering the alarming blaze below the cockpit.
Ashwin Menon, a software engineer onboard the flight, recounted the experience, noting the efficiency of the evacuation despite the chaos. Menon, who captured footage of the fire, described witnessing the flames near the cockpit before safely exiting the aircraft via emergency slides.
Approximately two-thirds of the 189 passengers opted to evacuate using the emergency slides, while others disembarked through the passenger bridge. Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene, although the fire had already extinguished itself by then.
Despite a few passengers sustaining minor injuries during the evacuation, airport officials confirmed that no hospitalizations were necessary. Evacuated passengers were transported to the terminal and underwent standard processing procedures.
Delta Air Lines released a statement addressing the incident, assuring that all passengers were safely evacuated and emphasizing that the deployment of emergency slides was a precautionary measure. The airline confirmed that the affected aircraft had been grounded for a comprehensive inspection and maintenance review.
