Newcastle United staged a dramatic second-half comeback to defeat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 at Molineux, securing a valuable three points that lifted them to third place in the Premier League standings. Wolves went ahead in the 36th minute when Jorgen Strand Larsen led a counter-attack, sending a low cross into the box. Joao Gomes cleverly dummied the ball, allowing Lemina to slot home with ease, giving the hosts a deserved lead at halftime. Just five minutes later, Newcastle struck again, this time with a stunning goal from substitute Harvey Barnes. Despite dominating large parts of the game, Wolves were left to rue missed opportunities as they remain rooted in the bottom three with just one point from their opening four games of the season.
