The Indian government has made a new Aadhaar mobile app. This app helps people show who they are using only their phone. Now, there is no need to carry a paper Aadhaar card or give a photocopy.

The app was shown to the public by the Union Minister for Electronics and IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw, in New Delhi. He said this new app is a big step to make things easy and safe for everyone.
One of the main things in this app is Face ID. It means you can show who you are by just using your face through the phone camera. The app also has a QR code scanner. It works like UPI scanning—you just scan and it confirms your details.
The Minister said, “Now Aadhaar checking is as easy as doing a UPI payment. People can tap and share only what is needed. They can choose what to share. They are in full control.”
This new app also means you don’t have to give Aadhaar photocopies at places like hotels, shops, airports, or other places that ask for ID. This makes it safer for everyone.
The app is still being tested, but it is built with strong safety. Your Aadhaar data can only be shared if you allow it. No one can change it or use it wrongly.
The Minister said Aadhaar is the main part of many online services in India. This new app is part of India’s strong digital plans. He also said that builders of new tools and businesses should help make digital work better—but always with safety first.
