As the Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is also the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, has made two big decisions. He issued Decree No. (71) of 2024 and Decree No. (72) of 2024 to promote 96 people working in Dubai’s courts and Public Prosecution.
Decree No. (72) gave promotions to many judges. It moved 24 judges up to Senior Cassation Judge, 16 judges to Cassation Judge, 18 judges to Appeal Judge, and 4 judges to Primary Court Judge at grade six. In the Public Prosecution, 10 members were made Senior Advocate General, 22 became Advocate General, and 2 were promoted to Chief Prosecutor. These promotions will make Dubai’s courts and justice system work even better.
On this special occasion, important leaders from Dubai’s courts thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Sheikh Maktoum is the First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance of the UAE, and the Chairman of the Dubai Judicial Council.

His Excellency Counsellor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, who is the Attorney General of Dubai, shared his thanks for the continued support given to the courts and their staff. His Excellency Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director General of Dubai Courts, also showed his gratitude and said that these promotions will inspire the staff to work even harder. His Excellency Counsellor Mohammed Mubarak Al Sabousi, Chief of Dubai’s Judicial Inspection Authority, and His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Saif Al Suboosi, Secretary-General of the Dubai Judicial Council, also thanked the leaders. They said that these efforts improve the courts and justice in Dubai.
The leaders praised Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed for supporting hardworking members of the courts. They said this recognition rewards hard work, builds trust, and makes the system stronger. By giving skilled people higher positions, Dubai shows that it cares about fairness and is one of the best in the world for justice and law.
