Four eminent Indian designers made a lasting impression at the prestigious BRICS+Fashion Summit in Moscow, captivating audiences with their exquisite handwoven and handloom designs. Led by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), chaired by Sunil Sethi, the delegation curated a remarkable showcase at the neoclassical mansion known as The Pashkov House.

The summit, touted as a pinnacle event in the fashion industry, commenced on November 28, attracting experts and professionals from over 60 countries. The Indian delegation, comprising FDCI Chairman Sunil Sethi, board member Paras Baroliya, and the FDCI team, strategically emphasized the promotion of handloom and Indian craft techniques in their curated show.

Held at The Pashkov House, the event saw the presence of esteemed attendees, including Pavan Kapoor, Ambassador of India to Russia, industry experts, designers, buyers, and representatives from fashion educational institutions. Notable international fashion figures and heads of global fashion associations also graced the occasion.

The Indian fashion showcase featured collections by talented designers Ritesh Kumar, Naushad Ali, Gaurav Khanijo, and Shruti Sancheti, showcasing the diversity and rich heritage of Indian craftsmanship.

FDCI Chairman Sunil Sethi expressed his enthusiasm for participating in the BRICS+ fashion summit in Moscow, highlighting the council's dedication to advancing Indian handloom in line with the Ministry of Textiles' guidance. The event marked the third international showcase of the Khadi ensemble, aligning seamlessly with the policies of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC).

The summit, concluding on December 2, stood as a testament to global collaboration, featuring a diverse representation of brands from around the world, including Lucas Leao (Brazil), CHNNYU (China), David Tlale (South Africa), Alena Akhmadullina (Russia), SADAELS (Argentina), Arzu Kaprol (Turkey), and NIV NIV by KAT.
