Hamdan bin Mohammed Meets Kuwait's Defence Minister at IDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE, met with His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Sabah, the Minister of Defence of Kuwait, today in Abu Dhabi. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 17th edition of the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX 2025).

Sheikh Hamdan welcomed the Kuwaiti Minister and highlighted the strong and lasting relationship between the two countries. He pointed out how both the UAE and Kuwait have continued to grow closer under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait. Sheikh Hamdan also expressed his hopes for Kuwait’s continued development and success.

The meeting focused on ways to improve cooperation between the two nations in different areas, especially in the field of defence. They talked about the importance of training and sharing knowledge to help military personnel improve their skills. This will help ensure the security and stability of the Gulf region.

Both leaders also discussed important regional and global issues that are of common concern. They agreed on the need to support efforts that aim to find solutions to conflicts and bring lasting peace to the region.

Attending the meeting were His Excellency Major General Staff Mubarak Saeed bin Gafan Al Jabri, the Deputy Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee for IDEX and NAVDEX 2025, and His Excellency Staff Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence.
