His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, attended the fourth edition of the Arab Meeting for Young Leaders. The main goal of the meeting was to discuss projects and initiatives aimed at empowering young people and creating more opportunities for them in future industries. Participants spoke about the importance of manufacturing, innovation, and entrepreneurship in helping the youth grow and succeed both in the Arab world and on a global level. They also explored ways to invest in young talent and develop their skills.
A major focus of the discussions was how to turn regional challenges into opportunities by encouraging young people to participate in decision-making and policy-making. Experts shared ideas on how to make youth voices heard and create policies that match the needs of Arab communities. Topics like strengthening Arab cultural identity, promoting the Arabic language, and encouraging responsible citizenship were also covered.
The event included interactive discussions and expert-led sessions on increasing youth participation in the private sector and entrepreneurship. Leaders stressed the importance of supporting locally made products, developing an industrial culture, and empowering young people to drive the Arab world’s industrial development so that it can compete globally.
During the meeting, findings from the Arab Youth Competitiveness Index were presented, along with key insights from preparatory meetings where young representatives from across the Arab world shared their thoughts and ideas.
The Arab Meeting for Young Leaders is organised every year by the Arab Youth Centre in partnership with the World Government Summit. It serves as an important platform where young people can connect with decision-makers to discuss solutions for the future. The event helps improve Arab youth competitiveness, gives them the tools to shape their own futures, and strengthens their role in developing national economies. It also promotes collaboration between governments, the private sector, and academic institutions, ensuring that young people have the resources and opportunities they need to contribute to the knowledge and digital economy.
