Dubai Press Club Holds Roundtable with TikTok CEO to Discuss Media Innovation

The Dubai Press Club (DPC) hosted an interactive roundtable discussion today featuring Shou Zi Chew, the CEO of TikTok, aimed at exploring the changing dynamics of content creation in the UAE. The session, titled “Shaping the Future of Content Creation and Empowering Creativity,” welcomed prominent content creators from the region to share insights and experiences.

Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, who serves as Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council as well as President of the Dubai Press Club, opened the event by emphasizing the importance of the gathering. She noted that it offered valuable perspectives on the strategic vision of TikTok, one of the world's leading social media platforms. Al Marri reaffirmed DPC’s dedication to facilitating events that support the growth of the media sector and empower upcoming media professionals and creators.

Shou Zi Chew, the CEO of TikTok, shared his excitement about visiting Dubai and interacting with content creators, whose vibrancy and creativity he found inspiring. During the discussion, Chew outlined TikTok's three foundational pillars: discovery, creativity, and community engagement.
