His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Dubai Future Foundation, has launched the Dubai AI Academy. This is a new and important project that aims to make artificial intelligence (AI) education available to more people and help AI become a bigger part of key industries in Dubai.

The launch happened during the first-ever Dubai AI Week 2025, which took place from April 21 to 25. The event was organized by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) and supported by His Highness. It was held at places like the Museum of the Future, AREA 2071 at Emirates Towers, and other locations across Dubai.

His Highness said, “Dubai will be the best place for people who want to lead the future of artificial intelligence. We will continue to support projects that show how AI can help grow the economy and improve government, education, and society.”

The Dubai AI Academy is part of the Dubai AI Campus, which is the largest area in the region dedicated to AI and advanced technology companies. It is located in the DIFC Innovation Hub. The academy’s goal is to teach 10,000 leaders, both new and experienced, and become a top provider of AI training and certification.

The Academy will work with well-known universities and organizations like Oxford University’s Saïd Business School, Udacity, and the Minerva Project. These partnerships will help offer special programs that teach people the skills they need to lead in a world powered by AI. Some of the first programs include “AI for Civil Service,” aimed at government workers, and “Leadership in the Age of AI,” which focuses on making smart decisions, ethics, and adapting to changes in a tech-driven world.

By offering a large number of AI courses, the academy will help Dubai achieve its goal of doubling the impact of AI on its economy and improving its global position. The programs will cover important skills like understanding AI use cases, applying AI in business, and using ethical guidelines when adopting AI.

This project is part of the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (DUB.AI) and supports Dubai’s long-term plan to become a world leader in AI, innovation, and technology. The Dubai AI Campus, launched in 2023 under His Highness’s guidance, is a key part of this plan. It offers powerful computing resources, business programs, and a unique AI business licensing model.

The AI Academy will also help with Dubai’s DIFC 2030 Strategy, which aims to develop talent in the city’s growing AI, FinTech, and innovation industries. The academy is expected to improve the skills of the local workforce and help both public and private sectors use AI more effectively.
