The big final race of the A2RL and DCL Drone Championship 2025 will happen in Abu Dhabi on April 11 and 12. It will take place at ADNEC Marina Hall. In this event, 14 top teams from different countries will race their smart drones to win a big prize of 1 million US dollars.

These drones are very special. No person controls them with a remote. The drones fly on their own using small computers inside them. They can “see” the track using a small camera in the front. They also use tools inside them to know how fast they are going and which way to turn. These drones are fast and clever. They can fly through gates and turn quickly without help.
The teams joining the race come from many countries like the UAE, the USA, Canada, Mexico, China, Turkey, Spain, Austria, South Korea, the Netherlands, and more. These teams worked very hard to get here. They had to win other races before this big one. Only 14 teams made it to the final.
There will be four different kinds of races. Each one is hard in a different way. In the first race, each drone flies alone and must finish two fast laps. In the second race, the best four teams will race against top human pilots to see which is faster—man or machine. The third race has four drones flying at the same time, so they must avoid crashing into each other. The last race is a short straight race, to test how fast the drone can go from start to finish.
These drones can fly up to 150 kilometers per hour. They think and fly all by themselves. Inside, they use a small computer called Jetson Orin NX. This helps the drone decide where to go and how fast to fly by looking at the pictures from the camera and feeling its movement.
On April 11, there will also be a special meeting called the A2RL Summit. Smart people like scientists, leaders, and business people will talk about the future of fast machines, racing, and new ideas in the UAE.
At the same time, there will be another race called the Falcon Cup Finals. This is where top human drone pilots from teams like Spain Drone Team, Raiden Racing, Cyclone Racing, and others will race live in Abu Dhabi. People can watch it there or later online on April 26 on the DCL YouTube channel.
The event will also have fun things for everyone. There will be cool shows with lights and music, DJs playing songs, games for kids, face painting, and more fun. It will be a great place for families to enjoy.
This event is made possible by help from big companies like XRG, Mubadala, Abu Dhabi Mobility, AWS, Du Infra, and Wio Bank. It also shows that Abu Dhabi is becoming a great place for smart machines and new tech ideas.
