The winner of a prestigious humanitarian and philanthropy award in the UAE will be announced on February 25 during the Arab Hope Makers ceremony at the Coca-Cola Arena. Established by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President, and Ruler of Dubai, the award recognizes individuals who have shown exceptional generosity and goodwill. The recipient will receive a Dh1 million prize, and the event aims to celebrate those who dedicate their lives to supporting others in need.
The fourth edition of Arab Hope Makers, announced in June, received over 58,000 nominations from the region. Proceeds from the closing ceremony will be directed towards humanitarian causes. Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the significance of hope-making, stating that it represents the highest expression of humanity and noble values. He expressed admiration for the tens of thousands of inspiring individuals participating in the initiative, highlighting their potential to lead the Arab world towards a better tomorrow.
In the previous edition in 2020, an Emirati man named Ahmed Al Falasi, who played a crucial role in transforming a hospital in Kenya into a state-of-the-art medical center, was awarded the Arab Hope Makers prize. Sheikh Mohammed presented him with Dh1 million for his outstanding humanitarian work in areas such as education, healthcare, and the environment.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed confidence in the ability of Arabs to shape a positive future for the region, citing the increasing number of participants in the initiative as a source of hope. He emphasized the transformative power of sowing goodness, stating that life can improve when individuals actively contribute to positive change.
