Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), in partnership with Microsoft, recently hosted an event focused on how advanced artificial intelligence (AI) can improve productivity and creativity in the workplace. The event featured discussions and workshops that showcased how generative AI can help simplify daily tasks, improve teamwork, and save time by automating work processes.
During the event, participants shared ideas about how AI can be useful in various work environments. They also discussed how AI can keep up with the changing needs of today's job market. AI can help individuals and organizations focus on what matters most by making their work easier and more efficient.
One of the highlights of the event was the introduction of Microsoft 365 Copilot, a smart assistant that DEWA provides to its employees. This tool is designed to help improve the performance and productivity of employees while also enhancing the satisfaction of both employees and customers.

The event also focused on developing DEWA’s plan to make its stakeholders happier. The updated plan aims to provide a better experience for everyone involved by offering high-quality services that are tailored to their needs. The goal is to make Dubai a global leader in AI and show how AI can be used in positive ways to improve people’s lives and happiness.
Recently, DEWA launched several AI projects as part of its strategy to use AI in everyday operations. These projects are already improving efficiency and the happiness of stakeholders in both the short and long term.
DEWA has expanded its use of generative AI in several important areas, such as the ‘Rammas for You’ and ‘Rammas at Work’ virtual assistants, information security, the SAP system, employee digital experiences, and more. Other areas that have benefited from AI include DEWA's Evaluation Centre, human resources services, security policies, financial data management, the customer eServices portal, IT support services, and future planning platforms like Power BI and LinkedIn Learning.
This shows how DEWA is using AI to make operations smoother and enhance the overall experience for its employees, customers, and other stakeholders.
