The Municipal Corporation of Delhi is set to unveil India's inaugural 'Jurassic Park' in Sarai Kale Khan, distinguished as a unique Waste-to-Art dinosaur park. Anticipated to open its gates to the public by the conclusion of the upcoming month, this extraordinary park boasts a collection of 54 colossal dinosaur replicas, ranging in height from 9 to 65 feet and measuring up to 54 feet in length. A pioneering initiative, these replicas are exclusively crafted from recycled materials such as scrap metal, discarded tires, remnants of cars, and horticulture waste.

These life-sized dinosaur replicas not only showcase realistic movements but also feature impressive capabilities, including the ability to produce authentic roaring sounds, growls, hisses, and, remarkably, spit fire. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Jurassic Park, the dinosaur park incorporates cutting-edge light and sound effects, aiming to recreate memorable scenes from the film, such as dinosaurs crushing vehicles. According to officials familiar with the project, the park has achieved 80% completion, utilizing nearly 300 tonnes of waste material for its construction.

The park aims to exhibit replicas representing 15 distinct species of dinosaurs, including Coelophysis, Brontosaurus, Velociraptor, Tsintaosaurus, Deinosuchus, Rajasaurus, Prenocephale, Ankylosaurus, Triceratops, Amargasaurus, Spinosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Diplodocus, and Stegosaurus. Upon entering the park, visitors will be greeted by replicas of three stegosaurus dinosaurs, uniquely crafted using horticulture waste, scrap metal, and car remnants. Moreover, the park will feature a group of small, feathered Velociraptor dinosaurs and an impressive 53x50 feet replica of the infamous Tyrannosaurus Rex from the Jurassic Park franchise. This Tyrannosaurus Rex replica is designed to spit fire and blink its eyes, contributing to an immersive experience.

Spread across 3.5 acres adjacent to the Waste-to-Wonder Park, the dinosaur park integrates various recreational activities tailored to engage children. These include slides, climbing ropes, and swings designed with safety as a top priority to eliminate sharp edges and potential risks. Additionally, the park introduces a towering 60-foot-wide, 25-foot-tall replica of the Spinosaurus, featuring a play area equipped with safety measures for children.

At the opposite end of the spectrum stands the park's tallest replica, a 65-foot-tall diplodocus, whose tail has been ingeniously transformed into a slide. Meticulous attention to detail characterizes the crafting process of these dinosaur replicas, involving precise cutting of scrap materials and the use of tires to cover the metal body, ensuring both safety and aesthetic appeal.

The immersive experience at the dinosaur park will be further enhanced by strategic landscaping, incorporating the planting of trees, shrubs, and grass, completing the innovative and eco-friendly vision of this exceptional dinosaur-themed attraction. Visitors can anticipate not only a unique and entertaining experience but also an opportunity to witness firsthand the transformative power of turning waste into art.
