The Attorney General’s office in Brazil has given Meta 72 hours to explain the decision. The government said Brazil has strict laws to protect children, teenagers, and other vulnerable groups from harmful content. They warned Meta that it won't allow dangerous or harmful material to spread on social media.

The government also asked Meta to remove a fake video that was posted. The showed Brazil’s Finance Minister, Fernando Haddad, saying something false about a new tax on pets and unborn animals. This video was created using fake technology and was spreading lies. The government demanded that it be removed immediately.

Brazil wants social media companies to make sure that fake information and harmful content do not spread online.
