The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has started a new program to help students from Al Karamah Training Institute (AKTI). These students, called Students of Determination, will get chances to learn about jobs and work with big companies in Abu Dhabi. This program is part of ADEK’s plan to include everyone and is a step to help People of Determination in Abu Dhabi.

The program gives students a chance to try working in real jobs. This helps them learn skills to live on their own and find work in the future. ADEK is working with companies like the Cultural Foundation, Burjeel Holdings, PureHealth, Al Fahim Holding, RFLCT Creative Arts Centers, Rolling Wheels Entertainment, and Elysian Flowers Boutique. They are offering work to 23 Emirati students from AKTI, which is about 30% of all students there.
The jobs include customer service, data work, office tasks, and ticket sales. These jobs will teach students useful skills. To help the students succeed, ADEK is also training the companies on how to support them.
Sara Awadh Musallam, Chairman of ADEK, said: "We want to help students learn new skills and try different jobs. This will help them grow and be part of a caring and fair community."
During the program, the students will be observed while they work. This will help decide what extra training or advice they need. Some students might even get long-term jobs in the future that match their skills and interests.
Dr. Mugheer Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development - Abu Dhabi, said: "This program helps People of Determination find jobs and live independently. It shows Abu Dhabi’s efforts to create a community where everyone can join and succeed."
Parents of the students are happy with the program. Mohamed Al Meharibi, whose son Hamdan is 25 years old, said: "This program helped my son meet new people and feel like he belongs. It also made his daily life more organized and gave him confidence."
Mariam Almuhairi, whose son Marwan is 16, said: "My son made new friends and became more confident. This program is helping him face challenges and grow."
Al Karamah Training Institute was started in 2021. It gives Students of Determination training in areas like technology, arts, and business. This program is a big step in helping them prepare for their future.
The program is already making a difference. Students are gaining confidence, learning new skills, and getting ready for jobs. Families are proud of the changes they see. This shows how Abu Dhabi is working to build a fair and welcoming community for everyone.
