Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that a total of 6.39 million people used public transport, taxis, and shared mobility services during the Eid Al-Fitr holiday in 2025, from March 30 to April 1.

According to RTA, the Dubai Metro was the most used mode of transport during the holiday. 2.428 million passengers traveled on the Red and Green Lines of the Metro.

The Dubai Tram also had a significant number of users, with 111,130 passengers using it to move around the city.

Meanwhile, public buses carried 1.33 million commuters, providing a convenient and affordable way for people to travel during the festive period.

Marine transport services, including abras, water taxis, and ferries, recorded 408,991 boardings, showing that many people preferred to travel by water.

Taxis, including Dubai Taxi and other franchise operators, were another popular choice, serving 1.687 million users during the holiday.

Shared mobility services, which include e-hailing taxis, car rentals by the hour, and on-demand bus services, saw 429,616 riders using these options for their travel needs.

The RTA highlighted that the large number of passengers reflects the efficiency and reliability of Dubai’s transport system, which continues to provide smooth and comfortable travel for residents and visitors alike.
