Cancer is a major cause of death in the UAE, making up 13% of all deaths. The conference aimed to show how doctors and healthcare groups can work together to fight cancer. It also focused on how SEHA is helping to bring the best cancer treatments to the UAE. The goal is to find cancer early, provide better treatments, and focus on taking care of the patients.
There were 35 sessions and 18 workshops during the event, talking about important topics like new cancer treatments, personalized medicine, and how technology like artificial intelligence (AI) can help fight cancer. Experts discussed new ways to treat breast and lung cancer, how the immune system can fight cancer, and other new ways to study and treat cancer.
Doctors at the conference also talked about how new technology can help improve cancer treatments. This shows how SEHA is leading cancer care and how the UAE is becoming a leader in offering advanced cancer treatments.
Dr. Khalid Balaraj, head of oncology at Tawam Hospital, said, “The Emirates Oncology Conference is very important for improving cancer care in the region. This year, we focused on turning ideas into actions that will improve patient care. By bringing together experts from around the world, we are setting new standards in cancer care that not only meet global goals but also meet the needs of our community. This shows SEHA’s commitment to improving healthcare and helping the UAE become a leader in cancer care.”
The conference showed how combining knowledge from around the world with ideas from local experts can help improve cancer care. It also showed how SEHA is working to fight cancer with early detection, better treatments, and better patient care. These efforts match the UAE’s goals for healthcare and its mission to improve people’s health in the country.
