For the fourth day in a row, dangerous weather conditions have affected many states across the country. This includes serious flooding in cities like Memphis, Tennessee, and Little Rock, Arkansas. There are also warnings for possible tornadoes from Texas to Kentucky, according to ABC News.

Since Wednesday, at least 12 people have lost their lives because of this severe weather. In Kentucky, a 9-year-old boy was swept away by floodwaters while walking to his bus stop. In southwestern Tennessee, several people died when a powerful EF-3 tornado hit the city of Selmer, causing massive damage.

In Arkansas, the first storm-related death was confirmed. A 5-year-old child was found dead in a home in southwest Little Rock. The Arkansas Division of Emergency Management said the child’s death was caused by the severe weather but did not give more details.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has warned that the situation is very dangerous. They said life-threatening flash floods are either happening now or will start soon. A flash flood emergency is the highest warning level the NWS gives when there’s an immediate and serious threat of flooding.

People in these areas are urged to stay safe, follow weather updates, and take all necessary precautions to protect themselves and their families.
