The first agreement is focused on enhancing the experience for students who are part of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Scholarship Programme. This initiative helps Emirati students who are top graduates from public and private schools across the country. Each year, 100 of the best students are chosen to study bachelor’s degrees in fields that are important for Dubai’s growth. The goal is to help these students become future leaders, excel in academics, and develop skills in innovation and leadership.

The second agreement works on strengthening the process of licensing and accrediting higher education institutions in Dubai. This effort is part of the UAE’s plan to position itself as a leading destination for education, attracting students and universities from all over the world.

The agreements were signed by Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, along with Aisha Abdulla Miran, the Director General of KHDA, and other senior officials. Dr. Al Awar explained that working together with local authorities is key to achieving the UAE’s vision of a knowledge-based society. He mentioned that the aim is to create an environment that attracts top educational institutions and helps the country’s higher education system grow in strength and international reputation.

Aisha Abdulla Miran emphasized that these agreements show the UAE’s ongoing efforts to improve its higher education system. She pointed out that the collaboration with MoHESR reflects the country’s dedication to making the UAE a global hub for innovation and academic excellence. The agreements outline a plan for both organizations to work closely together, including sharing data, applying the best educational practices, and fostering an environment that promotes innovation and academic success.

These efforts reflect the UAE’s commitment to enhancing the quality of higher education and ensuring it remains competitive globally, providing students with world-class opportunities to excel.
