Sheikh Hamdan made these remarks during a meeting with business leaders and traders at the Za’abeel Majlis. He stated that the lasting relationship between the public and private sectors in Dubai is based on mutual trust, transparency, and shared goals. He also noted that this partnership is guided by a clear vision for future growth and leadership.
The gathering was attended by several prominent figures, including His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Airline and Group; His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council; and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the importance of such meetings as platforms for meaningful discussions with Dubai’s business community, which includes traders, entrepreneurs, and investors from various industries. He explained that Dubai has always followed this approach of engaging with the business community, starting from the time of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. This tradition continues today under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Sheikh Hamdan said this commitment has played a vital role in strengthening public-private partnerships, which are essential to Dubai’s growth and thriving business environment.
During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan also discussed Dubai’s goals for the next phase of its development, particularly the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. He stressed the significant role that the private sector will play in achieving these goals through close collaboration with the public sector.
He reassured attendees of Dubai’s dedication to creating a supportive environment for businesses by introducing strategic initiatives that promote growth, expansion, and sustainable development. This approach, he explained, ensures mutual benefits for both public and private sectors and strengthens Dubai’s position as a leading global economic hub.
The attendees were grateful to Sheikh Hamdan for his active engagement with the business community and his dedication to fostering open dialogue. They praised his efforts in supporting Dubai’s leadership in areas such as commerce, tourism, and sustainable development and his commitment to enhancing the relationship between the public and private sectors.
The meeting also included several ministers and senior officials from Dubai’s government, further emphasizing the importance of collaboration in driving economic progress and ensuring a bright future for the emirate.
