This summit reflects the UAE's strong dedication to building global partnerships, such as working with international organizations to improve education and healthcare, sharing valuable knowledge, and creating innovative models to help shape a better future for people everywhere.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the WGS, explained that the summit continues to serve as an important platform for governments worldwide. He said, "The World Governments Summit plays a key role in shaping government work and promoting international cooperation at the highest levels. This aligns with the vision of our leadership to build a better tomorrow for everyone."

Al Gergawi highlighted that the 12th edition of the summit saw great success, with strong partnerships formed and best practices shared. These collaborations helped improve government strategies, policies, and plans across many countries, leading to better governance and long-term development.

He emphasized that the summit's main goal is to encourage human creativity and imagination. By identifying future challenges early and working on smart solutions, the summit aims to turn difficulties into new opportunities. "We want to speed up global progress in all fields," Al Gergawi said. "This will ensure that our vision for a brighter future remains strong, guided by smart policies and innovative practices."

The 12th edition of the summit was remarkable for its diversity. It brought together participants from countries on every continent and welcomed significant contributions from private sector companies across various industries. Al Gergawi noted that this wide participation helped address critical global trends and future developments.

The summit attracted over 6,000 attendees, including more than 30 heads of state and government, along with representatives from 80 international and regional organizations. In total, 140 government delegations joined the event, making it a truly global gathering.

The 2025 summit, held under the theme "Shaping Future Governments," featured 21 global forums. These forums explored important future trends and changes the world might face. Over 200 interactive sessions took place, where more than 300 experts, ministers, presidents, and decision-makers shared their ideas and experiences.

Additionally, the event included over 30 ministerial meetings and roundtable discussions. These meetings were attended by more than 400 ministers, all working together to find better ways to manage and improve government services.

Another key achievement of the summit was the release of 30 strategic reports. These reports, created with the help of international knowledge partners, provided insights into critical topics affecting the future of governance.

The World Governments Summit has become a significant event for leaders, experts, and thinkers from around the world. It continues to serve as a platform for sharing ideas, learning from each other, and working together to build a better, more prosperous future for everyone. The 2026 edition promises to build on these successes, with even more engaging discussions, collaborations, and insights into the future of governance worldwide.
