US Energy Secretary Chris Wright visited the UAE and met with top leaders in energy, technology, and investment at the ADNOC building in Abu Dhabi. This was his first visit to another country since he took the job. The goal of his trip was to make the friendship between the US and UAE stronger and to find new ways to work together.

Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and boss of ADNOC, welcomed Secretary Wright and Martina Strong, the US Ambassador to the UAE. Other important people also joined, including Suhail Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy, and leaders from big energy and tech companies like Masdar, Mubadala, Presight, AIQ, and XRG.

During the visit, Secretary Wright learned about XRG, a new company by ADNOC that plans to invest in the US. This company wants to help with energy projects like gas, chemicals, and clean energy.

Dr. Sultan Al Jaber said, “We are happy to welcome Secretary Wright. This visit shows how the UAE and US are working together to make energy better, cheaper, and cleaner. We both believe in using smart tools and technology to grow and help people.”

After the meeting, Secretary Wright visited ADNOC’s smart center, where he saw how the company uses computers and machines to make work safer, save money, and cut pollution. ADNOC wants to be the most modern energy company in the world.

Later, Dr. Sultan Al Jaber and Secretary Wright held a special meeting called the Future Energy Leaders Majlis. Young people from both the US and UAE—like engineers, scientists, and tech experts—came together to talk about the future of energy. They spoke about how energy can help the world grow and improve.
