The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reaffirmed its commitment to neutrality and regional stability, stating that it will not allow its airspace, land, or territorial waters to be used for any hostile military actions against Iran.
In an official statement posted on social media, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it will not provide any logistical support for military operations against Iran. The ministry also emphasized that dialogue, de-escalation, respect for sovereignty, and adherence to international law are the best ways to address regional crises.
Tensions in the region have increased after US President Donald Trump said an “armada” was moving toward Iran, although he expressed hope that military force would not be needed. Trump warned that the United States could take military action if Iran continues what he described as violent actions against protesters.
The US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and three accompanying warships have arrived in the Middle East, raising concerns about possible airstrikes. The US military also confirmed the deployment of F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets and reported increased movement of military cargo planes to the region.
Protests that started peacefully in Iran last month have spread to multiple cities and later turned violent, according to Iranian authorities. Activist groups claim at least 5,973 people have been killed and more than 41,800 detained, while Iran’s official figures report 3,117 deaths.
The United States and Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad have publicly acknowledged involvement on the ground. Iranian officials described the unrest as part of what they called a broader conflict following a 12-day clash with Israel in June.
