The UAE Boxing Federation has officially become a member of World Boxing, the international governing body for the sport. It is one of 17 new national boxing federations that have recently been approved to join World Boxing. With this latest addition, World Boxing now includes 106 countries from all around the world.

This membership is a very important step for the UAE. It helps strengthen the country’s presence in the world of boxing and shows that the UAE is serious about growing the sport and taking part in major international competitions. Being part of World Boxing will allow the UAE to compete on a bigger stage and gain more recognition in the sport.

As a new member of World Boxing, the UAE Boxing Federation now qualifies to send boxers to compete in the 2025 World Boxing Championships. This big event will be held in Liverpool, England, from September 4th to 14th. Competing in this championship will give UAE boxers the chance to test their skills against the best boxers from around the world and gain valuable experience.

World Boxing is a relatively new organization that started in April 2023. Its main goal is to keep boxing as an important part of the Olympic Games and to promote the sport globally. The organization works to make sure that boxing is run in a fair and transparent way.

Before allowing any new countries to join, World Boxing carefully checks that the national boxing federations meet strict standards. These standards include being open and honest in their management, following strong rules to prevent doping (using illegal drugs to improve performance), running the sport with good leadership, and being officially recognized by their country’s sports authorities. These rules help protect the sport’s integrity and fairness.

For the UAE Boxing Federation, becoming a member of World Boxing means many new opportunities. It allows the federation to work with other countries, access training and development programs, and get support that will help improve boxing within the UAE. This membership also helps promote the sport locally by encouraging more people to take up boxing and helping talented athletes reach higher levels of success.

In summary, joining World Boxing is a major achievement for the UAE Boxing Federation. It raises the profile of boxing in the UAE and opens the door for the country to grow as a strong competitor in international boxing events. This move clearly shows the UAE’s commitment to developing boxing and playing an active role in the sport worldwide.
