Dubai – The Department of Planning and Development – Trakhees, under the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC), conducted 1,812 evening inspections in 2025 to monitor public health and safety in personal care, healthcare, retail, and community establishments across its jurisdiction.
These inspections were part of a wider campaign by Trakhees’ Health and Safety Inspection Section, which carried out a total of 3,633 inspections last year. Evening inspections recorded a high compliance rate of 91.34%, while 8.66% of establishments were non-compliant and received notices to address violations within a specified timeframe.
The inspections assessed overall cleanliness, housekeeping, safe storage, passageway safety, handling of materials, and adherence to health, safety, hygiene, and first-aid standards. Unsafe practices, including spoiled, expired, or contaminated products, were closely monitored to protect consumers.
Engineer Abdullah Mohammed Belhoul, CEO of Trakhees, said the evening inspection program demonstrates the Corporation’s commitment to enhancing public health oversight, raising compliance, and ensuring the highest safety standards for businesses and customers.
He added that the 91.34% compliance rate reflects a proactive approach through continuous monitoring, identifying risks, and enforcing regulations. Trakhees will continue improving its inspection tools and practices to align with international standards, supporting Dubai’s vision for a safe, healthy, and sustainable business environment.
