His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE, recently attended the fourth edition of the “Make it in The Emirates 2025” Forum. This event was held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from May 19 to May 22. The Forum showcases the UAE’s strong industrial skills and new inventions. It also shows how the country is becoming an important place for making goods worldwide. Many industry leaders, government officials, and inventors came together for this important event.
During the visit, Sheikh Hamdan spoke about how the UAE’s industrial sector is very important for the country’s economy. He said it helps the country grow in many different ways and supports new ideas and technologies. He explained that the “Make it in The Emirates 2025” Forum shows the UAE’s plan to create a strong and modern industrial base. This base will be led by talented Emiratis who are skilled in advanced technology.

Sheikh Hamdan also mentioned the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. Under their guidance, the UAE is working hard to grow the industrial sector. They want to increase its share of the country’s total economy, boost exports, and attract top-quality investments. Sheikh Hamdan stressed that the industrial sector is more than just business—it is key to the country’s independence and helps develop both people and technology.
He said the Forum also shows that the UAE is ready to be a leader in industry both in the region and across the world. This confidence comes from clear plans, strong facilities, and a lot of experience. The UAE is also building partnerships between public and private groups to support the future of its industry.
Sheikh Hamdan was joined by several important leaders, including Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy; Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism; and Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai, Adviser to the President and Chairman of EDGE Group.
During the Forum, Sheikh Hamdan toured the exhibition, where he learned more about the role of UAE industries in shaping the country’s future. He saw new smart technologies and solutions developed by Emirati companies in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, energy, manufacturing, and real estate.
He also visited several key pavilions, including the Dubai pavilion run by the Department of Economy and Tourism. This pavilion highlights Dubai’s strong manufacturing sector and acts as a central hub bringing together important industrial groups like Dubai Industrial City, National Industries Park, Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority, Dubai Chambers, and Dubai South.
Sheikh Hamdan also stopped by pavilions from the EDGE Group, International Holding Company, Micropolis Digital Development, Emaar Properties, Ducab, and the Advanced Technology Research Council’s AI Centre.
“Make It In The Emirates 2025” is the UAE’s main industrial event. It is designed to speed up the country’s plans to grow its manufacturing sector and make the UAE a world leader in industrial innovation, sustainability, and economic progress
