His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, visited Al Dhannah to check on major projects that are helping the community and supporting national growth. The projects are being developed by ADNOC, one of the UAE’s leading companies, and focus on health, infrastructure, community life, and services that improve the well-being of people in the region.
Sheikh Hamdan was welcomed by ADNOC executives, employees, and senior officials from the Al Dhafra Region. He was accompanied by Nasser Mohammed Al Mansoori, Undersecretary of the Ruler’s Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region.
Praise for UAE’s Development
During the visit, Sheikh Hamdan praised the rapid progress the UAE has made under the leadership of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He said ADNOC plays a very important role in ensuring this progress continues. The company not only contributes to the economy but also invests in social and community projects that improve people’s lives.
He also highlighted the strong efforts of ADNOC employees, noting that their skills and dedication have made the UAE a trusted global energy supplier.
Healthcare and Community Projects
One of the main updates presented to Sheikh Hamdan was about the development of Al Dhannah Hospital, which is set to be one of the largest multi-specialty hospitals in the Al Dhafra Region. The hospital will provide advanced healthcare services to ADNOC employees, their families, and the wider community, ensuring that people in the area have access to top medical care close to home.
Sheikh Hamdan also learned about the Dhafra Oasis for Giving, a community project created by ADNOC in partnership with the Ruler’s Representative Court, Emirates Red Crescent, and several government organizations. The initiative supports charitable healthcare programs under the “Year of Community” theme. Two of the key programs are:
These projects are designed to bring real change to people’s lives, especially for vulnerable groups such as the elderly.
Road Safety and Infrastructure
Sheikh Hamdan was also updated about ADNOC’s Truck Rest Areas project, which is set to open by the end of September 2025 along Sheikh Khalifa International Road. There will be four integrated rest areas with facilities like fuel stations, prayer rooms, restaurants, and shops. The aim is to improve road safety by giving truck drivers and motorists proper places to rest during long journeys.
Sports and Lifestyle
The tour also included a visit to the Al Dhannah Sports Complex, which is being developed to provide modern sports and recreational facilities. The complex will serve residents of all ages, helping to promote a healthy and active lifestyle in the community.
